GYOUD History

The idea for GYOUD came in 2013 as I was working one evening at a department store. I had been praying and asking God for an idea that would be a constant reminder of how powerful a relationship with him can be. 

In 2014 I was leaning toward a clothing line and began to use the amazing artistic skills I didn't have to develop my logo.  As I thought about the meaning of GYOUD, that God is in us and we are in God, I realized we carry his DNA.  This is where "the mark" next to GYOUD originated. It is the top half of a DNA strand.  I came up with a very rough draft (see photo) and my idea of a clothing line moved closer to becoming a reality.  

In 2016 I connected with a graphic artist, Nokya Harpe who helped bring my logo to life. This was also the year that God began to give me designs, images, and words that I could visualize on t-shirts. I was excited to finally have my logo and move closer to this vision becoming a reality.

Then in 2018 it finally happened! My business was setup and the first shirts were printed.  As I look back over the years I've come a long way and though the process hasn't been easy, I know the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; Psalm 37:23.  It is a prayer of mine that now and for years to come I will run and not be weary and take this brand all over the world with your help!
